Today, we’re excited to announce three new enhancements to our SkySat imagery products.

SkySat Ortho Collect Item Type

Customers can now access and download the full, orthorectified SkySat collect without needing to mosaic individual scenes offline. Each SkySat collect is composed of ~60 scenes, and is available through the Planet API and Planet Explorer.

SkySat Analytic Ortho Scene Asset Type

Our new analytic asset type is calibrated to address intersatellite variations, differences in solar angle, and top-of-atmosphere radiance, enabling more reliable day-over-day pixel analysis. It is currently accessible through the SkySatScene item type.

SkySat Basemaps

Planet can now create SkySat Basemaps for customer-defined areas of interest. SkySat Basemaps are available in our standard geoTIFF package, which includes web service delivery.
